If your reading this, it means that you’ve somehow made it to our blog/website. Whether you were invited here or you got here by accident, doesn’t really matter to us, All that’s important is that you got here. So, Welcome! we hope you enjoy the site and that you will find something useful in here.

Who are we?

We are the Beumer Family. We moved to New Zealand, in April 2007, from a very dangerous and unstable South Africa. We are “Afrikaners” now living in New Zealand and we are slowly but surely becoming “Kiwi”. Hence the name of our website/blog: Kiwianer.com.

Our immediate Family currently consists of 4 people in New Zealand, although we have many more extended family here. There is the myself/the dad (man of the house): Erik; my better half/the mom (lady of the house and keeper of the balance) : Angy; our little Kiwi bundle of you/rug-rat/consumer and giver of hugs and kisses: Anrika; and last by no means the least the mum-in-law/matriarch/well-of-life-experiences/part-time-babysitter/grandma: Ansa.

What is our aim with this website?

With this website, we aim to reach a couple of goals. We aim to provide useful and sometimes useless information on all sorts of topics. We aim to post content that will benefit our extended family and ex and current country-men. We aim to learn more about people, communication and the Internet. Most of all we aim to have fun while doing it. That is after all, the Kiwi way.

I’m going to stop typing now, mainly ’cause I can’t think of anything else to put in this about page, but also because I don’t want to bore you before you get to the good stuff!
